2022 Boozaar to be held on Oct. 29

Posted

Gatesville’s annual Boozaar Halloween Celebration is usually held annually on the Saturday before Halloween around the square in downtown Gatesville. This year the event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 6-8 p.m.

This free, family event is the most well attended event of the year and provides fun for the citizens of all ages from Gatesville and the surrounding area. Those attending can participate in the costume contest and make their way around the square trick or treating at local businesses and playing games set up by local businesses and organizations. There is no admission charge, and most treats and attractions are free.

There are always vendors selling food and drinks if you choose to take advantage of some of the authentic and delicious items that are available.

Interested businesses and organizations are invited to participate as one of the following:

Treat Stops are businesses located on the square or the Boozaar route that encompasses several blocks around the downtown area. They hand out treats to kids as they make their way around the route.

Treat stations are businesses and organizations who are not located downtown but set up booths around the square to provide free candy, games, and activities for families. There is no charge to set up a Treat Station.

Vendors can host a food booth, sell Halloween related items or charge for a game or activity. Vendor booths are $55 each for commercial businesses and $25 for non-profit. Any items sold must be Halloween related.

There will also be a costume contest with categories for all ages.
