A stone wall in the Dawson Cooper Hall at the Coryell Museum and Historical Center is currently under repair in preparation for Spurfest.

According to Coryell Museum Board President Erv Adams, the Dawson Cooper Hall at the museum will be closed to the public while repair work is being done on a stone wall inside the hall.

Repair work is expected to be completed prior to Spurfest. In the past, mortar between the stones has been crumbling off the century-old wall and the museum board opted to have it repaired before Spurfest.

The Dawson Cooper Hall houses the museum’s military memorabilia, musical instrument collection, and a replica of an early-day chapel.
