Matthews and Sartor exchange vows

Posted

It’s happily ever after for Mason Kyle Matthews and Tiffany Louise Sartor, both of Gatesville. The grandfather of the bride officiated the ceremony on October 29, 2022, on the beautiful 50-acre Knoxville Ranch Wedding Venue in West, Texas in the presence of family and close friends.

The bride is the daughter of Ryan and Kaci Sartor of Rockwall and Jim and Sherry Barrington of Gatesville. She is the granddaughter of Dan and Loretta Elledge of Gatesville, and Chrissie Sartor and the late James Sartor of Denton. The groom is the son of Kyle and Julie Matthews of Gatesville. He is the grandson of Jerry Clark and the late Mary Ann Clark of Gatesville, the late Vernon Sheets of Gatesville, and Joy Matthews and the late Willard Matthews, of Magnolia.

The maid of honor was cousin of the bride, Tiara Elledge, of Gatesville. Bridesmaids were Hannah Apodaca, Faith Branch, Haylee Meyer and Maci Bourgeois, all of Gatesville, and Maci Matthews, sister of the groom, of Cedar Park. The best man was Garrett Gunnels of Gatesville. Groomsmen were Tyler Bradshaw of Austin, Kyle Blakeman of Houston, Brady Cameron of Richardson, Tully Meyer of Gatesville, and Daniel Sartor, brother of the bride, of Decatur. Ring bearers were Tuff Meyer and Hernan Eufracio, both of Gatesville. Flower girls were Chloe-Noelle Campbell and Leya Campbell, cousins of the bride, both of Gatesville, and Sabry Lee, cousin of the groom, of McGregor.

The bride was escorted out beautiful wrought iron doors from an upper deck to the gorgeous ceremony site boasting a pond with decorative fountain view as the ceremony backdrop. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a custom white wedding gown with a plunging V-neck that included an empire silhouette adorned with an embroidered lace sash and a matching soft drop veil. The long sleeved gown had a button back detail and was embellished with floral overlay lace trailing down the shimmer tulle train. The bride carried a cascade-crescent bouquet designed by her mother that included blue, white, and burgundy flowers. She wore a new pair of earrings given to her by her father, an old necklace, and signed her marriage certificate with a borrowed handmade wooden pen. In an emotional moment, the couple exchanged a series of wedding vows they each had prepared expressing their love and promises to one another.

The wedding was followed by cocktail hour and a reception in the charming Knox Hall. The banquet hall featured framed wrought iron glass doors, vaulted ceilings adorned in crystal chandeliers, and natural wood finishes. Glass floating candle holders topped each table. Pristine white, navy blue, and deep burgundy floral arrangements were the focal point and added greenery tied the look together to symbolize new beginnings.

The bride is currently a nursing student with expected graduation in spring 2024 and is employed at Coryell Health as a certified nurse aide. The groom is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Tarleton State University. He is currently employed at The First National Bank of Evant (Gatesville branch) as a loan officer. The newlyweds are making their home in Gatesville and will be taking a honeymoon cruise to the Mexican Riviera in early 2023.
