Gatesville Mad Matters will hold an evening “plarn party” on Thursday, April 6. The party will take place at the Gatesville Public Library from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Activities will include sorting, folding, cutting, and joining strips together to crochet plastic sleeping mats.
Gatesville Mad Matters is a group in Central Texas that makes crochet sleeping mats for the homeless population in the area. The mats are made using plastic grocery bags. No crochet skills are needed. Gatesville Mad Matters meets weekly at the Gatesville library.
The Gatesville Public Library is located at 111 N. 8 St. in Gatesville.
