Cleddy Baize, age 38, of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023.
Joseph Cleddy Craig Baize was born on July 5, 1985, in Clifton to Bobby Craig Baize and Pamela Stevens. He grew up in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 2003. Cleddy was always very outgoing and always ready for life’s next big adventure. He loved being on the river; fishing, hunting, and collecting arrowheads. If you asked him, he would tell you that he could live right on the banks of the river and be perfectly content.
Cleddy will be remembered by everyone for his contagious smile and upbeat attitude that could turn anyone’s day around for the better. He never met a stranger and always left a life-long lasting impression on all that knew him. Cleddy was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Stevens.
Cleddy is survived by his daughter, Josie C. Baize; father, Bobby Craig Baize and wife, Elizabeth; brothers, David Baize and wife, Heather, Ryan Baize and wife, Ashley, Patrick Redding, Ryan Redding and wife, Kala; grandparents, James Cleddy and Nita Baize; Dixie Perryman and Wayne Mitchel; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cleddy’s family is grateful beyond words for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
