Clara DeLois (Lawrence) Lynn, age 92, of Bellmead, passed away February 2, 2023. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Oglesby. The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m., Sunday February 5, 2023, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.
Clara, better known as "Dee,” or "NeNo,” was born September 23, 1930, to L.E. (Tobe) and Mary Agnes Pearl (Springfield) Lawrence. She grew up in the Oglesby area before marrying Joe Wesley Lynn in 1950.
She was no stranger to hard work, first picking cotton and working the farm as a child and young adult, then later retiring from Imperial Woodworks after 35 years of service.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will remember her fondly as a loving, devoted, and selfless mother.
She was a woman of faith who used her gift with children to serve in the nursery of the Oglesby First Baptist Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, and siblings Jack, Velma, Willie Bell, Ray, Wayne, Bill, and Peggy Joyce.
She is survived by a son, Gary Lynn of Bellmead, daughter, Jorene Everett of Oglesby, sister Nancy Greene of Lorena, niece Carolyn Derrick and husband, John, of Gatesville, granddaughter Amber Burns and husband, David, of Woodway, granddaughter Kylie San Miguel and husband, Ryan, of Denton, grandson Adam Lynn and wife, Stephanie, of Hewitt, grandson Scott Everett and wife, Kacey, of Robinson, great-grandchildren Aleah, Bella, Clara, Xander, Abigail, Ava, Jolie, and Lucas, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillside Medical Lodge for their care and support.
