 Gatesville Care Center director Deral McWhorter almost couldn’t reach the top of the scale recording the giving in the 2009 Food for Families drive. With the need greater than ever before, Gatesville and the surrounding area gave even more than before—a record 221,000 pounds—to help feed needy families throughout most of Coryell County.
