Military appreciation dinner (Posted on Tuesday, November 17, 2009)
 Soldiers from North Fort Hood were honored Friday with a fish fry at the Coryell Activities Complex hosted by the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce, City of Gatesville and Coryell County. Members of the Gatesville Volunteer Fire Department did the cooking for the event. Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, III Corps and Fort Hood commanding general, attended the dinner and expressed appreciation to the community for their support in the aftermath of the Nov. 5 tragedy at Fort Hood. Friday’s dinner had been planned long before Nov. 5 to show appreciation to the military at North Fort Hood.
