Dutch train at Gatesville airport

An Army unit from The Netherlands conducted a training exercise this week at the Gatesville Municipal Airport. The exercise included several helicopters, such as the Chinook shown here.

This is what I want

Corbin Kleshick shared his Christmas wishes with Santa Claus during a visit to the Gatesville Public Library. Corbin, the 2-year-old son of Cody and Charlene Kleshick, was at the library with his “Nana,” Shannon Kleshick, while his parents did a little shopping.

Tunnell provides spark

With the offense a bit stagnant, sophomore Corie Tunnell erupted for nine straight points in just over two minutes of the game clock to give the Gatesville Hornets a much-needed spark Tuesday. The Hornets rolled to an easy 61-17 win over Axtell to improve to 15-5 on the season.

Running into a wall

What may look like a three-armed player was actually two Axtell Lady Horns keeping Gatesville’s Alli Richardson away from the basket. The Hornets prevailed in the game, 61-17, and Richardson contributed six consecutive points in a one-minute span of the second quarter.
