Parry tabbed as city manager

A unique opportunity presented itself this week and the Gatesville City Council wasted no time in taking action. In a special meeting held Tuesday, the council unanimously voted to offer William (Bill) H. Parry will join the city on May 1 and work with Mumby during the next month in preparation of taking the helm.

Advance to regional

The Jonesboro Lady Eagles fi nished third in the District 25-1A cross country meet to advance to regional. Katie Kuzenka, right, and Hannah Isom led the team in fourth and fifth, respectively.
